Divine Inspiration:-
It is also Revelation. In Arabic it is called Wahi.
Genesis 12: 1. And the Lord had said to Abram, Get out from your country, and from your family, and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you;2. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing;3. And I will bless those who bless you, and curse him who curses you; and in you shall all families of the earth be blessed
Exodus 3: 1. And Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian; and he led the flock far away into the desert, and came to the mountain of God, to Horeb.2. And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.3. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.4. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.5. And he said, Do not come any closer; take off your shoes from your feet, for the place on which you stand is holy ground.6. And he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
While Muhammad allegedly suffered physical and pshchological pain during his periods of ‘inspirtaion’, Moses had none of them because he was ordered directly by the Almighty in one-to-one conversations. Muhammad’s 'revelations' were not from Allah directly but through the second hand agency of the angel Gabriel.
42: 51 It is not fitting for a man that Allah should speak to him except by inspiration [wahiyan] of from behind a veil [min war'ai hijabin] or by the sending of a Messenger to reveal with Allah's permission what Allah wills: for He is Most High Most Wise.
52 And thus have We by Our command sent inspiration to thee [awhayna ilayka] : thou knowest not (before) what was Revelation and what was Faith; but We have made the (Qur'an) a Light wherewith We guide such of Our servants as We will; and verily thou dost guide (men) to the Straight Way
*** This is not a true statement - that Allah would ONLY address his messengers from behind a veil or by inspiration - since Allah (according to the Quran), talked DIRECTLY to Abraham and to Moses as mentioned in the Torah - the original source of all the ‘revelations’ that allegedly followed.
Even the Quran itself asserts this in 4:164.
It is out of sheer embarrassement that he, Muhammad, could not claim that he was addressed directly by Allah, that he invented the verse above ***
4: 163 We have sent thee inspiration [awhayna ilayka] as We sent it to [awhayna] Noah and the Messengers after him; We sent inspiration [awhayna] to Abraham Ismail Isaac Jacob and the Tribes to Jesus Job Jonah Aaron and Solomon and to David We gave the Psalms.
4: 164 Of some Apostles We have already told thee the story; of others We have not; and to Moses Allah spoke direct.
#670 Allah spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai. Hence the title of Moses in Muslim theology: Kalim-ullah: the one to whom Allah spoke#
*** Both the verse and its interpretation assert that Allah talked directly to Moses and NOT by INSPIRATION, contradicting the earlier verses above ***
16: 43 And before thee also the apostles We sent were but men to whom We granted inspiration: if ye realize this not ask of those who possess the Message.
18:110 Say: "I am but a man like yourselves (but) the inspiration [yawhi ilaiya] has come to me that your Allah [ilahakum] is one Allah[ilahoo wahidoo] : whoever expects to meet his Lord let him work righteousness and in the worship of his Lord admit no one as partner."
*** It has to be pointed out to the reader who does not know Arabic, that the above verse was DELIBERATELY FALSIFIED by the translator to give it a completely different meaning to serve his agenda of PROSELYTIZING.
In reality, the name ALLAH is not mentioned in this verse.
The words are :
".... annama Ilahukum Ilahoo wahidoo "
which should have been translated to:
"....your God is one God"
This is again repeated in the following verse:
21:108 Say: "What has come to me by inspiration is that your Allah [ilahakum] is One Allah [ilahoo wahidoo]: will ye therefore bow to His Will (in Islam)?"
This methodology of distorting, falsifying and dis-informing readers and listeners by the followers of Muhammad is endemic, general and deliberate and used specifically to convert the unwary who are lead to believe that the 'religion' of Islam is peaceful, egalitarian, democratic and true; all of which adjectives should have the exact opposite characteristics applied to it ***
21:7 Before thee also the apostles we sent were but men to whom We granted inspiration: if ye realize this not ask of those who possess the Message.
21:25 Not an apostle did We send before thee without this inspiration sent by Us to him: that there is no god but I; therefore worship and serve Me.
26:63 Then We told Moses by inspiration: "Strike the sea with thy rod." So it divided and each separate part become like the huge firm mass of a mountain.
Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 1.2 Narrated byAisha
(the mother of the faithful believers) Al-Harith bin Hisham asked Allah's Apostle "O Allah's Apostle! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you?" Allah's Apostle replied, "Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell, this form of Inspiration is the hardest of all and then this state passes off after I have grasped what is inspired. Sometimes the Angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says." 'Aisha added: Verily I saw the Prophet being inspired Divinely on a very cold day and noticed the sweat dropping from his forehead (as the Inspiration was over).
Sahih Al-Bukhari HadithHadith 4.747 Narrated byRabia bin Abi Abdur Rahman
I heard Anas bin Malik describing the Prophet saying, "He was of medium height amongst the people, neither tall nor short; he had a rosy color, neither absolutely white nor deep brown; his hair was neither completely curly nor quite lank. Divine Inspiration was revealed to him when he was forty years old. He stayed ten years in Mecca receiving the Divine Inspiration, and stayed in Medina for ten more years. When he expired, he had scarcely twenty white hairs in his head and beard." Rabi'a said, "I saw some of his hairs and it was red. When I asked about that, I was told that it turned red because of scent."
*** There is an important error in this report since in fact Muhammad was THIRTEEN years in Mecca after the first revelation; three of which were without inspiration.
His hair was red because he dyed it to do the opposite of the Jews and Christians who did not ***
Tabari 1:181 “ The Prophet said ‘I was sent immediately before the coming of the Day of Doom. I preceded it like this one preceding that one’ –referring to his index and middle finger” 182 “he said ‘Allah will not make this nation [of Islam] incapable of lasting half a day – a day being a thousand years - …Consequently, based upon the Prophet’s authority,, what remained of time was half a day that had elapsed to the Prophet’s statement corresponds to 6500 years”
*** Based on Muhammad’s prophecy, Dooms Day should have occurred 500 years after this ‘revelation’ which ovccured about 610 AD.
Well, as we all know, the year 1110 had passed and we are in the year
2000 AD without the prophecy of the 'infallible' Prophet having come true.
Muhammad’s alleged prophesies can be counted on one hand none of which ever came true ***
